Here's our Process
Our Laser is the most important part of our company (aside from its wonderful employees) and it lets us use our creative potential to its fullest.
Our Vytek L-star CO2 150 watt laser has been in operation for close to 5 years now, and shows no signs of slowing down. Vytech is very well know for their innovative technology, because they have created a completely new standard in the laser industry. Our model has a 4ft x 8ft hydraulic table, giving us plenty of room to engrave very large headstones, up to 2ft thick. It can also engrave as intricately as needed, for smaller more delicate paper or acrylic designs. Our laser is optimised to etch granite and marble, although, we can also engrave glass, acrylic, wood, plastic, ceramic, tile, anodized metal, and even paper. After its engraved and sealed, then we take photos of our work. For advertisements, social media, and simply example purposes. We try to photograph and document everything we engrave. Although, if you'd rather have your product NOT photographer for any reason, we will respect the privacy of your purchase.
It helps us to be able to see our progress over time as a company, especially for the artist. Everything we do is custom, down to the very last detail. We never use templates or pre-made designs. Of course, if a customer sees an example on our website that they would like to 'copy' then of course they're allowed to use it. But we do enjoy being as creative as possible with our customers, and always try to create the most unique and personal memorial for their loved one. We also understand that its sometimes very difficult to think of a design and decide every detail of something so permanent in the wake of a loved one passing. In light of that situation, to say the least, Stacey has you covered. With very minimal personal information, Stacey will send you 3 different beautiful design options for you to choose from. From there, you're allowed to pick and choose whatever you want and adjust it until you're absolutely 100% satisfied with the design. Then, and only then, will we engrave. We will NEVER engrave without your approval first. We truly care about our customers, and we understand how sensitive and emotional these decisions can be. |
After we engrave our granite and marble, we coat it with a secret sealer to keep our engraving from fading over time. Many different headstone companies have a similar process, although our sealer will not only stand the test of time, but it will also withstand all natural elements such as sun, rain, and snow for many years to come.
People have been using granite for headstones for centuries, and that's because its amazing. Granite is one of the hardest elements on earth. It is an igneous rock, and is actually just a compound of several different minerals including quartz, feldspar, and mica. Granite forms under the Earths crust from a very, very slow crystallization process of magma cooling after melting these minerals together. This crystallization process takes thousands, some scientists say millions, of years to form. This makes granite one of the densest, and most durable elements on Earth. Shipping, is our achilles heel. Shipping and handling is sometimes a challenge, especially with the bigger markers. Somebody should make shipping stone easier!
We take every precaution necessary to prevent any breakage of every headstone that leaves our facility, and we offer 100% customer satisfaction upon any inconveniences. We use USPS for all markers and products smaller than 10in x16in x2in. Large products will ship via UPS, and extra-large cemetery headstones will ship on a pallet via Freight. We offer 100% FREE shipping on all products. |
Stacey has over 35 years of graphic design experience, and is willing to make just about anything work. Her flexible mindset, ambition, and passion for helping others has led her to really grow attached to the company and the work we do. Its truly the desire to help those in need that fuels her creativity and supurb customer service skills.

And I'm Michael, the author of this blog, and the Shop Manager of ArcLight Industries. I've been here for just about 1 year, working with my mom. We've recently suffered a tragic loss in our family, and found ourselves identifying with our customers all too often. In light of that, we enjoy our work. Being able to help people at the hardest times in their lives is unimaginably rewarding, and yet exhausting. But at the end of the day, its always worth it.
